By Susan Taft
special to The Gazette

Mr. Holman built a Greek Revival home on Texas Street in 1913 that is now owned by Robert and Carla Peoples and is operated as The Holman House bed and breakfast. “Since we’ve bought the homes, I’ve been reading their genealogy, and Mr. Holman was after more economic development in Pittsburg,” Mr. Peoples said. “One thing he wanted to do was develop a walking tour.”
