Camp County pushes forward with higher tax rate

The Camp County Commissioners approved the proposal of increasing the effective tax rate by six cents per $100 of valuation at Friday morning’s meeting.
According to County Judge Thomas Cravey, this measure, if fully approved, would bring the total rate to $0.4749, of which $0.1635 would be given to the road and bridge fund.
