Peoples, granddaughter create walking tour of Pittsburg

Back in the early 1900s, John Miller Holman dreamed of bringing more people to Pittsburg and Camp County. Mr. Holman built a Greek Revival home on Texas Street in 1913 that is now owned by Robert and Carla Peoples and is operated as The Holman House bed and breakfast. The Peoples also purchased the home next door, which was built by Mr. Holman in 1925 and given to his brother Harry and his family.
“Since we’ve bought the homes, I’ve been reading their genealogy, and Mr. Holman was after more economic development in Pittsburg,” Mr. Peoples said. “One thing he wanted to do was develop a walking tour.”
