Museum appoints new chairman and sets fundraiser for March 29

By Fanny Hively

Things are really hopping at the museum. We had our all-member meeting Monday evening, Jan. 27. Thanks to everyone who attended, especially to David Abernathy who is our new chairman.
He introduced our own Chuck Johns who presented a program on the history of Pittsburg titled “Past and present.”
Save the date! The fund-raiser for the museum will be March 29.
The event will be held at Princedale Country Club beginning at 6:30. Our theme this year will be Jeans, Jewels and Jazz. We have enlisted a wonderful jazz band to play. Johnny and the Nightcrawlers is a 4-piece band from the Tyler area and boy can they play.
Jerry French will be our auctioneer and Kahuna’s will provide the food.
More information will be forthcoming; however, I want you to be sure and save the date, because this will be a very special evening benefiting the museum.
