Family literacy classes begin at 10 a.m. February 6 at Pittsburg public library
By Nancy Murillo
The Pittsburg Camp County Public Library will begin Family Literacy classes on Thursday, February 6th at 1pm! The classes will run for 6 weeks and will be both English and Spanish. Any children that attend (infants and/or pre-k) will remain with their parents in the classroom.
We will provide hand-outs for pre-k children.
The Library continues to provide ESL classes on Saturday mornings at 10am and GED classes on Friday afternoons at 1:30pm.
All ESL, GED, and Family Literacy classes are provided through a collaborative grant with Gateway to Libraries / Circle of Ten Partnership with funding through Texas State Library, Dollar General Literacy, and Verizon Wireless.
The Public Library holds story time every Thursday afternoon at 4pm. The program lasts about 30-40 minutes and we have some fabulous volunteers that read to your children.
Please work us into your after school schedule on Thursdays. We are having lots of fun and would love for you to join us.
For renewals, reserves, or make a memorial, please contact the Public Library at 613 Quitman Street, Pittsburg, Texas 75686, 903-856-3302 or email info@pittsburglibrary.org. ‘Follow’ us on Twitter, ‘Like’ us on Facebook , or ‘Circle’ us on Google+. We hope to see you at the library.
