Are you a sensitive person? And, where’s Manziel headed next?

By Roy Knox

“My sadness is that we are probably more race and difference-conscious than it was in the 1960’s when I went to school,” so says Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas while speaking to the students and faculty at Palm Beach Atlantic University (Florida).
He goes on to say everyone is sensitive about something these days. Thomas is one of the great legal minds in this country. It’s pretty apparent there is no shortage of common sense or courage when offering up his opinions.
Thomas thinks we are too sensitive in our reaction when we talk about differences in race, gender or politics. I think Thomas just proves again his superior intellect.
Some groups might be a little more sensitive than others, but everyone has a hair-trigger and can’t wait to let you know how they have been oppressed.
The truth is, for a small white child to be successful it’s going to depend on how hard his/her parents are willing to push to make it happen.
For a small black child, it`s the same. Parents have to make the child understand the importance of an education. For a small Mexican child, of course it’s the same. Children have to be pushed to do their best. It doesn’t matter the race or gender. Well there is difference with Asian children.
It’s a given the parents will push them hard in all the facets of their young lives. To be successful in life, they must dodge the white, black, and Mexican kids so they don’t take that beating of their life for ruining the curve. Of course I’m kidding that beating won’t happen until college.
Our differences are few, our similarities are many, and just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t mean they hate you. Try harder at being less sensitive.
A Michigan father was outraged by a question on his daughter’s biology home work: A young woman managed to narrow the list of a potential fathers to four.
By knowing her and her infants DNA all she had to do was gather samples from the four men to prove who the baby-daddy was. How many partners was she able to scratch off the list just because it didn’t match the timeline? I`m guessing a progressive liberal school with a crummy football team has this kind of homework.
