Jerry (Bimbo) Dunlap, 59, was born in Pittsburg, on Aug. 13, 1953, and passed away on June 26 in the VA Hospital in Dallas. He was a water and sewer operator for the city of Pittsburg, Newsome Water Supply and Northeast Texas Community College. He was honorably discharged after serving his country for two tours in the U. S. Army.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Jeremy Shaun Dunlap; two sisters, Glinda Dunlap and Kathy Oropeza-Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.  He was preceded in death by his parents, L. G. Dunlap and Helen Dunlap Hitt, and nephew Jerry Lynn Richeson.
Memorial services will be held Saturday evening from 6 to 9 at Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church in Pittsburg. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 8.
Instead of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the charity of your choice.

Daniel Warren Wooten passed away quietly at his home in Pittsburg on June 18.
He was born in Mount Pleasant on July 29, 1949, and was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg. Danny graduated from Pittsburg High School and served in the U.S. Marines. He was retired from Shelby Resource Management where he was a timberman for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Elba Wooten, and a sister, Deann Bailey Fernandez.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Wooten; daughter, Tammy Peden and husband Frank; and grandchildren, Chris, Ty and Jessica. He is also survived by three brothers and their wives, Duane and Nancy Wooten, David and Janell Wooten and Darien and Teresa Wooten; and two sisters and their husbands, Dana and Ricky Wells and Debbie and Anthony Nelson. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Services for Cleo Wilkerson Jr., 68, were held on June 22 at Saint Beulah C.M.E. Church in Pittsburg with Bishop George H. Bratton officiating. Interment was in Rocky Mound Cemetery.

Mr. Wilkerson was born June 1, 1945, in Pittsburg and died June 15 at Grace Presbyterian Village in Dallas.
 

Services for Jerry Weeks, 66, of Pittsburg, were held on June 21 at Erman Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Everett Foster and Bruce Overstreet officiating. Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery.
Mr. Weeks was born Sept. 23, 1946, in Dallas and died June 17 at the University of Texas Health Center in Tyler. He worked in construction for many years as a superintendent and was the owner and operator of The Floor Store in Pittsburg. He was also a  member of the Full Gospel Pentacostal Church in Pittsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lula Birchfield Weeks; seven brothers; and three sisters.

A. W. (Buck) Sumners passed away from Myeloid Leukemia, May 20. at Beacon Hospice care center in Longview.  Buck was 87; Born in Friendship, Tenn. Buck loved his country, freedom and was a patriot to the end.  Buck had been a resident of Pittsburg since 1989.
Buck was survived by a daughter, Shirley, and two sons, Jim and Bill. Buck had a love for his horses, his farm,  his family, friends, playing pool,  visiting with his buddies, and his dog, Blue.
Many thanks for Dad’s best friend Merle, who took care of him,  was a great companion and was there to the end. Also many thanks to Brady.  Dad always called him “his little buddy.” Buck made his career as a livestock buyer,  first working for Swift and Co. in St Louis, Mo., then starting a cattle order buying company in north Texas with his son,  Jim.  Buck will be laid to rest in Hall Town, Mo., at a family service.
 

Services for Bobby Lee Law, 87, of Pittsburg, were held on June 21 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Packer officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Law was born Feb. 19, 1926, in Upshur County and died June 19 at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. He served in the U. S. Army, served seven years on the Pittsburg City Council and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Watts law and Jonona Dykes Law, and two brothers, Tommy and Billy Law.
Mr. Law is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and George French of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Ross and Renee French of Tyler; great-grandchildren, Nathanael, Ian and Will French; brother, Terry Law of Pittsburg; and sister, Frankie Blackstock of Pittsburg.

Graveside services for Carolyn Henderson Jackson were June 24, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, with Reverend Dr. John Whitehurst officiating.  
Carolyn Jackson, 73, of Longview, formerly Pittsburg, passed away June 19 surrounded by immediate family.  She was born Aug. 17, 1939, in Camp County to Bill and Margaret Henderson.
Carolyn enjoyed continuing and growing her family’s business, Henderson Manufacturing, founded by her parents.  This foundry continues as a family owned business today in Pittsburg, not only serving businesses in East Texas, but all of North America.  Besides her passion for Henderson Manufacturing, Carolyn‘s other special joys were farming and breeding cattle, founding of C&J Dairy, her children and grandchildren and her  co-ownership of C-L Ozment & Associate Loop Sales, LLC.

Thomas Andrew Franks, who wrote the computer software for large municipal 911 systems in the early days of their development in the United States, died June 18 at the East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg.  He was 66.   
Franks came to Pittsburg in 1972, following his marriage to Carolyn Heath Franks. He and she alternated as organists for St. William Laud Episcopal Church. Franks gave piano lessons, and his students won awards all over the state.   In 1973 Franks organized the Pittsburg-Camp County Boys Choir, which he directed until the end of the decade.  The group performed widely in East Texas and also appeared in concerts at the state capitol, Saltillo, Mexico and other sites.  
In 1980, Franks co-founded the Pittsburg-Camp County Arts Council, which fostered the performing arts locally for enrichment in Pittsburg schools, and also for the public.  

Jerry Densile Crabb was born April 1, 1957 in San Antonio. He died June 14 in Plano Medical Center in Plano. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie W. Crabb, infant twin boys, grandparents Homer and Lucy Sells, and grandparents Walter and Mattie Crabb.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda; mother, Gwen; sister, Carla Marshall; nephews, Callahan and Cameron Dickey; step-sons, Brandon and Brent Klinger; step-granddaughter, Tami Klinger; uncles and aunts, Grady and Betty Sells, Noel and Claudia Sells, Lourene Sauer, Opal Garner, Hazel Gosnell, Martha Parnell, Sue Griffin, Louise Adcock and many cousins.
Densile graduated high school from the International School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He then graduated from Mountain View College, Dallas, as a machinist. After a back injury, he attended ATI majoring in Computer Science. Upon graduation he was employed by AT&T until his death.
There will be a private graveside memorial service in McKinney.

Services for Marvin Dewayne Armour, 39, of Pittsburg, were held on June 8 with Elder Freddie Washington officiating. Interment was in Rocky Mound Cemetery.
Mr. Armour was born Oct. 22, 1973, in Pittsburg and died June 2 at East Texas Medical Center Tyler.
