Daniel Warren Wooten
Daniel Warren Wooten passed away quietly at his home in Pittsburg on June 18.
He was born in Mount Pleasant on July 29, 1949, and was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg. Danny graduated from Pittsburg High School and served in the U.S. Marines. He was retired from Shelby Resource Management where he was a timberman for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Elba Wooten, and a sister, Deann Bailey Fernandez.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Wooten; daughter, Tammy Peden and husband Frank; and grandchildren, Chris, Ty and Jessica. He is also survived by three brothers and their wives, Duane and Nancy Wooten, David and Janell Wooten and Darien and Teresa Wooten; and two sisters and their husbands, Dana and Ricky Wells and Debbie and Anthony Nelson. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Erman Smith Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
