Campbell

Services were held for Margaret Irene Campbell, 76, of Gilmer on Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. at Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg. Ms. Campbell was born May 4, 1938 in Sulphur Bluff and died Nov. 13 at East Texas Medical Center Tyler. Interment was at Bethel Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

Millsap

Services for Duane Lavon Millsap, 85, of Leesburg, were on Monday, Nov. 10, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point, the Rev. Billy Smith officiated the ceremony. Mr. Millsap was born July 29, 1929 in Henrietta, Okla. and he died Friday, Oct. 31 at his home. He is the son of William Otto Millsap and Rosa Mae Keathly Millsap. He was raised in Dallas and married Patsy Dale Malone. Mr. Millsap was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Overhead Door Company in Dallas for 30 years and was a truck driver for Pilgrim’s Pride for 33 years in Pittsburg, he retired in 1999. He enjoyed watching television and raising game roosters. Mr. Millsap was a member of the VFW (the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States). He had lived in Leesburg for the past 12 years and was a Baptist.

Services for Sam J.Burns, 90, were held Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Kyle Smith and Robert Burns officiating. Interment was in Ebenezer Cemetery. He was born May 12, 1924 in Emory. He died Friday, Nov. 7 at his home in Pittsburg. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and served in the Army. He was the retired owner of Burns Grocery. He was preceded in death  by his parents, Oscar ColumbusBurns and Nona Cook Burns.He is survived by his wife, Mildred Katherine Burns; one son, Danny K. Burns; one daughter Teresa Ann Gholston of New Boston; grandchildren, Tausha Renee Carlson of Austin, Blake Daryn Burns of Fort Worth, Bradley Kyle Burns of Keller, Lance Christopher Gholston of Arlington, Collin Ryan Gholston of New Boston; great-grandchildren, Broc and Beckum Burns, Kennedy and Cade Carlson, Addison Gholston, Reagan and Hayden Burns.Pallbearers were Bradley Burns, Chris Carlson, Lance Gholston, Collin Gholston, James Burns and Tony Burns.

Henderson

Services for Debby Henderson, 61, were held Oct. 29 at Erman Smith Funeral Home, with Bro. Doyle Rust and Bro. Jim Jordan officiating. Mrs. Henderson was born Feb.6, 1953 and passed away Oct. 26 at ETMC-Tyler; she was a Baptist. Survivors include, husband, Paul Henderson of Pittsburg; son, Matt Henderson of Pittsburg; daughter, Molly Henderson of Tyler; two grandchildren, Carson McKnight and R.J. Sash; two brothers, Danny and Casey Brooks of Pittsburg, and Larry and Dorothy Brooks of Burleson; four sisters, Sandra and Doyle Rust of Pittsburg, Nancy and Jim Jordan of Newsome, Diane Rice of Longview, and Vicki and Charlie Holt of Longview. Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by parents, Alvis Brooks and Mary Evelyn Hooton Brooks; grandson, Jaxon David Hines; brothers, Richard Brooks and Donny Brooks.

A graveside service, under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home, was held for Sybil Martin Green, 88, at Leesburg Cemetery Oct. 24 with the Rev. Ken Manley officiating. She was born Dec. 20, 1925 in Camp County and she died Wednesday, Oct. 22. She was a member of the Eaves Tabernacle Church in Leesburg. Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Nancy Cummings of Scroggins; one daughter Sunra Chatterton of Gilmer and fiancé Jim Kelly; three brothers, Buck Martin of Gilmer, Johnnie Martin of Coke and Bobby Jackson of Leesburg; two sisters, Etta Faye Broadstreet of Leesburg; Wanda Higginbotham of Gilmer; and five grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were, Eric Cummings, Bryan Cummings, Kevin Cook, Chance Cummings, Kelby Wall and Cody Cummings. Honorary pallbearers were the great-grandchildren.
