Sawyer

Kenneth Harley Sawyer, 75, of Avinger, died April 24, in Mount Pleasant. Mr. Sawyer was born Aug. 13, 1939 in Longview. No memorial services will be held at this time. His ashes will be buried at a later date with his wife at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg.

He served in the Air Force for seven years and also the Army, in Korea and Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and quilting with his wife. He designed and built her a quilting machine, along with all the patterns they used to quilt.

He is survived by a brother: William Lewis (Bill) Sawyer; sister: Pattie Story McClung; two daughters: Pamela Cheshier Dean and Debbie Sawyer Dale; two stepsons: Jesse and Waylon Johnson, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Wooldridge

Jeanny Ann Wooldridge, 69, of Livingston, died April 23, in Livingston. Mrs. Wooldridge was born July 15, 1945 in Hope, Ark. Her memorial services were held April 25, at 3 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, with Bro. Wayne Bickley officiating. Interment was held at the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Wooldridge Sr. of Livingston; sons, Wayne Wooldridge Jr. and Etsuko of Livingston, Kevin Wooldridge and Alicia of New Hampshire; brothers, Jack Edwards and Leona of Pittsburg, Jim Edwards and Becky of Iowa, Jackson Edwards of Mount Pleasant; sisters, Carolyn Henson of Pasadena, Brenda Spreen and John of Iowa, Dawn Edwards of Iowa; four grandchildren, three step granddaughters, and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wooldridge was preceded in death by her parents, Orie Jackson Edwards and Mildred Jean (Baker) Edwards and her sister, Andrea Edwards.

Weinberger

Herb Weinberger, 78, of Pittsburg, died Saturday, April 18, at Trinity Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation of Winnsboro. Mr. Weinberger was born Aug. 28, 1936 in Leroy. His memorial services and burial mass were held at Ebenezer Friendship Baptist Church in Camp County on April 23, at 3 p.m. followed by a graveside service. Interment was held at Ebenezer Cemetery in Camp County.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Weinberger of Pittsburg; children, Mark Weinberger of Pittsburg, Pam Meredith of Wilburn, Ark., and Wendy Reeves of Pittsburg; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Weinberger was preceded in death by his parents: William and Magdaline Straton Weinberger and step-mother, Matilda Weinberger; son-in-law, Bobby Meredith; great grandchild, Vernocia Verser; two sisters, Beatrice Stokes and Aggie Calvert, and three uncles.

Darry Nathan Stanberry, 53, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at his home in Pittsburg. Serviceswere held Saturday, April 25, at 12:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Reverend Jerral Walker officiating. Intermentwas held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg.

Kennington

Clovis Kennington, 92, of Kingwood, died April 21, in Humble. Mr. Kennington was born on Feb. 8, 1923 in Grice. His memorial service was held Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m., at Pine Tree Church of Christ in Longivew, followed by a graveside service. Interment was held at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer.

Mr. Kennington married, Jo Ann Maxwell, on April 16, 1949, and together they raised two children, Keith and Karen. He served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He worked as a manager for Bealls, and was a member of Pine Tree Church of Christ while living in Longview and Kingwood Church of Christ while living in Kingwood. His love of God was evident by his life and service as an elder of South Park Church of Christ in Beaumont and his work with the Caring and Sharing ministry of Pine Tree Church of Christ in Longview.

Wright

Joe Wright, 63, of Pittsburg, died Mar. 27, at his residence in Pittsburg. Mr. Wright was born Aug. 20, 1951 in Sullivan, Ind. No service is scheduled at this time.
Mr. Wright was an avid fisherman and a member of the Sons of American Legion. He was also a Mason and Scottish Rite Shriner, and became a Master Mason in 1995 with Lodge ‘588. Mr. Wright married his wife, Flossie, 44 years ago, on Sept. 15, 1970. He is survived by his children: Scott David Wright and wife Jane Ann, of Pimento, Ind., and Kimberly J. Wright, of Pittsburg; as well as two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents: Sherman Logan Wright and Cora Isabel Crist Wright and his brother, Donald Eugene Wright.

Millie Ann Tyson, 64, passed away Friday, March 20 in Pittsburg. Services were held Saturday, March 28 at 12:00 noon at Saint Beulah C.M.E. Church in Pittsburg with Rev. Byron Muse officiating. Interment was held at Rocky Mound Cemetery in Pittsburg.
