Mickey Landers

 

Mickey Landers was born April 10, 1951 in Camp County and passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 at East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gladwyn C. Brummell and Ruby Jewell Brummell; daughter, Gwendolyn Michelle Landers; stepson, Randy Lee Landers and brothers, Weldon Richardson and Winford Richardson.

Survivors include husband, William “Lee” Landers of Leesburg; one son, Glenn R. Key Jr.; three stepsons, Rody Jack Landers and Sheri Landers of Pittsburg, Michael Eual Landers of Pittsburg and Chris and Janenne Kellum of Leesburg; step-daughter, Rhonda and Jimmy McPhearson of Pittsburg; three grandchildren, Lindsey Landers, Nicholas Kizer and wife, Lydia and Dustin Kizer; numerous step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arthur Lee Mitchell

Arthur Lee Mitchell was born July 16, 1928 in Pittsburg, Texas and passed away Aug. 7, 2015 at Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg, Texas with Rev. John M. Brooks officiating.

Interment was in Union Chapel Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas.

Barbara DeOrnellis

Barbara DeOrnellis was born Aug. 11, 1940 in McCrory, Arkansas and passed away Aug. 9, 2015 at her residence in Pittsburg.

Mrs. DeOrnellis was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and worked for Pilgrim’s Pride for 21 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grammy and aunt.

Survivors include her husband, Orval DeOrnellis; two sons, Terry DeOrnellis and wife, Suzanne, of Henderson and Tony DeOrnellis and wife, Amy, of Brenham; four grandchildren, Tyler DeOrnellis, Dalton DeOrnellis, Dylan DeOrnellis and Delaney DeOrnellis; one brother, Tom Wright and wife, Judy, of Pittsburg and three sisters, Louise Marshall of Laurinburg, North Carolina, Zerita Clark of Pittsburg and Beverly Anderson and husband, Anthony, of Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Elsie Wright and two brothers-in-law, Dave Marshall and Larry Clark.

Olive Elizabeth Hughbank

Olive Elizabeth Hughbank (Ollie), 93, went to be with her heavenly Father on August 10, 2015 in Pittsburg, Texas.

Ollie Hughbank was born Dec. 16, 1921 in San Diego, California, to Lena and Jesse Reasor. She married Robert James Hughbank on September 5, 1941. She was married 51 years before the passing of her husband, Robert J. Hughbank, Sergeant Major, USMC, retired.

Ollie kept the family together while her husband fought in WWII and Korea. She was the quintessential Marine wife and mother who managed the family through two wars and several moves as Sgt. Major Hughbank was transferred to several duty stations in several different states. Ollie held several jobs of her own and was a Jack of All Trades but a Master of None.

Ollie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Hughbank; her parents; her two brothers; one sister and granddaughter, Vicky Lee Munke.

Deborah Lynn Gawrieh

Deborah Lynn Gawrieh, 61, of White Oak passed away Monday, August 10, surrounded by her family. 

She was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas on May 28, 1954 to Wayne and Ellen Garrett and had 4 sisters. She graduated from Heber Springs High School in1972 and then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. 

She then met the man she would marry at Wyatt's Cafeteria in 1977 where they both worked. Shortly after meeting, they began dating and were married on January 17, 1981. Together they had four children, and all four of them were the center of her universe. Every day of her life was dedicated to taking care of her husband and children, and she did so by always driving everyone around to practices, games, tournaments and events while still making sure everyone ate and knew that they were loved.

Jimmy Ray Kinard

 

Jimmy Ray Kinard was born December 28, 1952 in Tyler Texas and passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015. He was a Pittsburg resident, maintenance supervisor and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 at Baskom Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. No visitation was scheduled.

Shirley (Von) Bybee

 

Shirley (Von) Bybee was born Aug. 14, 1936 in Morton, Texas, to Robert Dyer Goodwin and Willie Lou Harrison Goodwin. She passed away Aug. 8, 2015 at ETMC in Tyler.

She was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell R. Byee and two sisters, Opal Crone and Rene Baker.

Survivors include one son, Rickey Ray Bybee of Pittsburg; one daughter, Kelly Bybee Stansell and husband, Kip, of Midland; five grandchildren, Bobby Bybee and wife, Mandi; Robin Bybee and Brian; Heather Bybee, all of Florida and Kyle Stansell of Longview and Kendall Jordan of London, England; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and three nieces.

Pallbearers are Kip Stansell and Kyle Stansell.  Honorary pallbearers are Don Ziegler, Bob Nitson, Donny Spears, Pat Taylor, Joe Kizer and Billy Pilgrim.

Ramon R. Morton was born Oct. 7, 1942 and died Aug. 4 at The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with Rev. Patrick Lloyd officiating.

Interment will be in Lafayette Cemetery in Pittsburg.

Gerry Laverne Spear

Gerry Laverne Spear was born July 19, 1943 in Morrilton, Arkansas and passed away July 24, 2015 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

Mrs. Spear retired from Walmart after 16 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Finehout of DeBerry, Texas; one daughter, Pam Finehout Casey of Pittsburg, Texas; five grandchildren, Tanner Spear, Justin Casey, Kendra Finehout, Jessica Finehout, Brandy Craver and husband, Danny; four great-grandchildren, Kaylee Craver, Karley Craver, Brooklynn Craver and Keirrah Speakman; one brother and sister-in-law, Lyle David and Linda Harrison of Watervliet, Michigan and ex-husband Donald Spear.

She was preceded in death by her father, Verne Blaylock; mother, Bessie Mae Hodge Harrison; step-father, Andrew Lyle Harrison; sons Michael Spear and Jeffery Finehout; brother, Bill Harrison and sister-in-law Sue Harrison.

Gary Allen was born April 10, 1965 in Upshur County and died July 15, 2015, at Baylor Health Care System in Dallas. Mr. Allen resided in Dallas, Texas. Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with Elder Robert W. Campbell Sr. officiating. Interment was in Rocky Mound Cemetery in Rocky Mound, Texas.
