Robert Lee Robinson

Robert Lee Robinson was born Nov. 9, 1935 in Lamesa, Texas and passed away Sept. 27, 2015 at East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg.

Mr. Robinson served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Evelyn Billingsley Robinson; wife, Betty Jane Judkins Robinson; two sisters, Geneva Robinson and Thelma Nadine Robinson Watson and four brothers, Edwin “Doc” Robinson, Johnny Eugene Robinson, R.B. Robinson and Walter Robinson.

Survivors include one daughter, Robbie J. Kirby and husband, Clifton; two grandchildren, Clayton James Kirby and wife, Tristan and Michael Todd Kirby; sister, Shirley Robinson Roberson and husband, Andy; best special friend, Janie Widemon and her children and 11 grandbabies and 20 great-grandbabies and many nieces and nephews.

Earlene Virginia Swanner

Mrs. Earlene Virginia Swanner, age 87 of Scroggins, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. She was born on Tuesday, April 3, 1928 in Conroe, TX to the late E.T. Sparks and Myrtle Lee (Jordan) Sparks.

She was a homemaker, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Scroggins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 65 years, Harold Wayne Swanner; and brother, Larry Sparks.

She is survived by daughter, Pamela Kay Swanner of Winnsboro; sons, Jessie Craig Swanner and wife Lisa of Scroggins, Randal Wayne Swanner and wife Malinda of Scroggins; brother, Melvin Sparks and wife Blanche of Scroggins; sister, Janell French of Tulsa, OK.; seven grandchildren, Melissa Davis Bell, Tex Davis, Derek Swanner, Samantha Swanner, Cole Swanner, McKenzie Swanner, Bailey Swanner; five great-grandchildren, Tristan Davis, Alexandria Bell, Sophia Bell, Penelope Bell, and Kimberlynn Swanner.

LaDonna Sisk Fink

 

LaDonna Sisk Fink was born Jan. 10, 1938 in Pittsburg, Texas and passed away Friday, Sept. 25 at Pittsburg Nursing Center in Pittsburg, Texas.

Mrs. Fink had a long and memorable career with Pittsburg ISD, of which she was a retiree. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard and gardening, growing a large pea patch every year. She was an avid domino player and especially loved playing with her grandchildren and later, great-grandchildren.

LaDonna thrived on spending time with her family and always enjoyed a good cup of coffee with friends. She touched the lives of so many with her wit and kind heart. She took care of everyone in her family, always putting her own needs last. Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted mother and wonderful grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Thomas Fink; parents, George and Ollie Goolsby Sisk and brothers, Williams Sisk, Harold Dean Sisk and Duran Sisk.

Earlene Hughes was born Sept. 27, 1927 in Pittsburg, Texas and passed away Sept. 3, 2015 at East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg, Texas.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg, Texas with Rev. Patrick Lloyd officiating. Interment was in Christian Hope Cemetery in Gilmer, Texas.

Deborah Rachel Thomas-Campbell was born June 26, 1963 in Pittsburg, Texas and passed away Aug. 30, 2015 in Kilgore, Texas. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 at First United Methodist Church, 115 Mount Pleasant St. in Pittsburg with the Rev. J.D. Palmer officiating.

Patrick Glenn Murphy

In Loving Memory of 

Patrick Glenn Murphy, who went to a peaceful and pain free place August 29, 2015 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall. Pat was born January 5, 1959 in Winnsboro, Texas. He was a member of the Pittsburg High School class of 1977. During his High School years he was a member of the band as well as the football and baseball teams. He worked in the oilfield, Pilgrim's Pride Corporation, East Texas Crude and Armur Bank.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Jean Jackson of Pittsburg; brother, Mike Murphy of Pittsburg; sister Karla Gilbert and husband Hank, of Whitehouse; nephews: Shane Murphy, of Mt. Pleasant, and Peyton and Cody Gilbert, both of Whitehouse; as well as a niece, Shelby Murphy of White Oak.

Pat was preceded in death by his father, Carl Murphy; grandparents Russell and Virgie Murphy and Jesse and Ruby Underwood, and adoptive grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Harrison.

Frances Marie Thompson

Frances Marie Thompson nee Watson, age 72, died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Aug. 27, 2015 in her Pittsburg, Texas home. Frances is survived by James Olson of Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Marc Menkemeller; grandson, Mikhael James Menkemeller; step-granddaughter, Lauren Menkemeller of Frisco, Texas; siblings, Darlene Baird of Bullard, Texas, Thomas R. Watson of Loveland, Colo. and Durand E. Watson of Guam; nieces, Lisa Harding and Sarah Bell and nephews, Brett Baird and Philip Watson.

She is preceded in death by parents Mattie and Cecil Watson of Pittsburg and brother, Marvin Clyde Watson.

Etauice Cummings was born Jan. 9, 1923 in Pittsburg Texas and passed away Aug. 14, 2015 at her home in Gilmer. Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gilmer with Bro. Jesse Davis officiating. Interment will be in Crossroad Cemetery in Gilmer.

Mary Alice Phillips

Mary Alice Phillips was born Nov. 17, 1924 in Pittsburg and died Aug. 15, 2015 at her home in Sherman.

Ms. Phillips was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg, a former librarian at the Pittsburg-Camp County Public Library and a former docent at the Pittsburg Farmstead Museum.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg.
