Law

Terry Law, 75, of Pittsburg, died Wednesday, March 25, at East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg. Mr. Law was born April 12, 1939. His graveside services were held March 27, at Matinburg Cemetery in Camp County with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating.
Mr. Law was in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg. He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Law of Pittsburg; son: BryantLaw of Pittsburg; daughter: Crystal and husband John Wells of Pittsburg; sister: Frankie Blackstock, and grandchild, Wesley Law.
Mr. Law was preceded in death by his parents: Tom Watts Law and Jonona Alice Dykes Law of Pittsburg; brothers; Tommy Law, Billy Law and Bobby Law. Family received friends between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 28 at Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg.

Jimmy Carpenter, 72, passed away Wednesday, March 26 in Pittsburg. Services were held Saturday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Cemetery with Bro. Ken Manley and David Carpenter officiating.

Pierce

Funeral services for Neoma Sue Pierce, 72, of Pittsburg will be held at a date to be determined. Mrs. Pierce was born April 2, 1942 in Mead, Okla. and died Feb. 25 at Pittsburg Nursing Center in Pittsburg. Mrs. Pierce resided in the Pittsburg area for over 30 years and in that time made many friends. Her family wishes to express their gratitude for those who shared in her life’s journey. Survivors include, son: Tony Hunnicutt of Durant, Okla.; daughters: Lisa Walker and Robert “Chip” Walker of Pittsburg; and Susan Renae Currier of O’Fallon, Ill. Brothers: Terry and Rhonda Peirce, and Jerry and Charlotte Peirce. Sisters: Mary and James Pharr, Pat Meadows, Tommie and Bill Crone, Nelda Pierce Roundtree, Linda and Herb Hill, Donna and Barry Carter; and brother-in-law: Tommy Burnett. Grandchildren: Kristin Walker Potts, Jessica Walker, Nikki Swearingen, Kimberly Hunnicutt, and Amanda Hunnicutt; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robinson

A memorial service was held Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m. for Robbie (V.L.) Robinson, 88, of Smyrna Ga. in the sanctuary of the Smyrna First United Methodist Church. Mr. Robinson died March 7. Interment was held in Georgia National Cemetery. He was a native of Pittsburg;Mr. Robinson had been a longtime resident of Cobb County. He served in the Army during World War II and later retired from Columbia Lighting after being employed over 30 years. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Nelms Masonic Lodge and the Smyrna Golden K Kiwanis Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary SuberRobinson. He is survived by his daughter Melissa Atkins of Smyrna, son Ken Robinson of Flowery Branch; brother, Carroll Robinson of Pittsburg; grandchildren Emily and Katie Atkins, Tyler, Logan and Connor Robinson, nieces and nephews. Services for Betty Jean Overstreet McCaw, 79, formerly of Pittsburg, were held March 9 at 2 p.m. at Erman Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Rust officiating. Interment was held at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. Mrs. McCaw was born on July 5, 1935 in Fouke, Ark. And died March 4 at her home in Como. She was a member of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include five sons: James Perry Overstreet and wife Janet; Arthur Leo Overstreet; Johnnie E. Overstreet, Jr.; Roy G. McCaw; Kelsie Dean McCaw and wife Peggy. Three daughters: Janice Jean Reeder; Jancie Marie Milam and husband Roy; Gayla N. Murphree and husband Robert. Flesher

Connie Flesher, 39, of Dallas, died Friday, March 6, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. Miss. Flesher was born Aug. 31, 1975 in Dallas. Her funeral services will be held at a later date in Fairview. Miss. Flesher is survived by her mother and step-father: Marsha and James Beckham of Leesburg; father and step-mother: Donnie and Sherry Flesher of Garland; brother, Shane Flesher of Frisco; step-brothers, Christopher Beckham of Leesburg and Cory and Brandon McKibben; step-sister, Christy Stasny of Shreveport, La., step and grandfather, Jackie Flesher of Plano.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Flesher, Jr.; grandparents: Ruthie Stringfellow, J.W. Stringfellow, and Wanda Flesher.

Graveside services for Nieuport Estes, 93, of Pittsburg, were held on March 8, at 2 p.m. at Enoch Cemetery in Gilmer. Officiating was Bishop Steve Christian. Mr. Estes was born Oct. 22, 1921 in Orlando Fla. and died March 4, at Southern Wind Manor in Pittsburg. Interment was held at Enoch Cemetery in Gillmer.

Funeral services for Mary Francis Fulmer, 80, of Winnsboro, were held on March 1, at 2 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Officiating was Bro. Kenneth Ballard. Mrs. Fulmer was born Nov. 21, 1934 in Winnsboro and died Feb. 27 in Winnsboro. Interment was held at Willard Cemetery.

Vanlandingham

Janice Vanlandingham, 73, of Pittsburg, died Feb. 27, at East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg. Mrs. Vanlandingham was born Aug. 21, 1941 in Chicago, Ill. Her memorial services and burial mass were held at Saint Williams Laud Episcopal Church in Pittsburg. Interment was held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. Mrs. Vanlandingham was a member of Saint Williams Laud Episcopal Church in Pittsburg. She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University and Masters and PhD from the University of Mississippi. Mrs. Vanlandingham taught at Auburn University and Northeast Texas Community College. She is survived by her children, Stacey Vanlandingham of Pittsburg and Stephen Vanlandingham of Rusk; her brother, Robert Bilik of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Patricia Walden of Westville, Ohio; a special friend, Dianna Woods, and three grandchildren.
