VBS each Saturday at church
Vacation Bible School will be held each Saturday in July at the Pittsburg Church of the Nazarene.
Classes are 5-8 p.m. There will be Bible stories, crafts, games and dinner served each night.
The church is located at 350 CR 2110 in Pittsburg.

Ice cream social at church
The Open Arms Ministry of the First Pentecostal Church of Pittsburg is having a homemade ice cream social from 4:30-7 p.m. on Saturday, July 8.
Donations only at 164 CR 4120.
Also, Yankton Hatten will be ministering Sunday, July 9, at 11 a.m.

Fellowship of Pittsburg held their first Adult Vacation Bible School workshop of June 24. The group wrapped shoe boxes for Everlasting Smiles and some of the items made for the shoe boxes were infant blankets, hair bow and painted wooden cars. They also made eyeglass cases for the Baptist Medical Mission International who go on mission trips all over the world providing medical and spiritual care. The shoe boxes are given the boys and girls, and some adults, in third-world countries which enables BMMI to share the love of Christ.

Sparks in the Park
HUGHES SPRINGS – The Arden Hanes American Legion Post 351 will host the Sparks in the Park Auto and Cycle Show on Saturday, July 1, beginning with registration at 8 a.m. Showtime is 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

July 4th celebration
HUGHES SPRINGS -- The city of Hughes Springs will celebrate the Fourth of July on Saturday, July 1. 
The fish fry and music will be at Spring Park at 6 p.m. Tickets will be $12 per plate. 
Fireworks will be at Mustang Stadium begin at dark. Gates will open at 8 p.m.

Firework show on the lake
MOUNT VERNON – A fireworks show is set for 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1 on Lake Cypress Springs.
The event is sponsored b the South Franklin Volunteer Fire Department.

Youth retreat scheduled
New Testament Holiness Church annual summer youth retreat – “On God’s Team in 2017” --  is set July 3-7 for children ages 2-18. 
They will participate in Bible classes, games, crafts and other fun activities Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to noon. 
A basketball tournament is planned for Friday, along with other activities at Old Emmanuel gym and free lunch at Pizza Inn. 
Youth revival services each night at 7 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch are free to all participants.

Fundraiser at church
St. Beulah CME Church, 103 Lewis St., will host the “Feast of the Seven Tables” – a fundraiser for the East Texas Regional Board of Christian Education Scholarship – on Saturday, June 24 at the church.
The fundraiser will commemorate the seven Biblical feast.
Tickets are $7 per person for “all you can eat” until the food is gone. Carry outs are an additional price.

VBS at area church
GILMER – The Union Ridge Church will host Vacation Bible School for children and adults on June 23-25.
Friday and Saturday’s classes are 5:45 to 8:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 9:30 a.m., followed by lunch on the grounds.

CASA of Camp, Morris and Titus Counties is asking local churches for 2-3 volunteers to help with their annual fundraiser – “The Independent Day Blast” on Tuesday, July 4 at Broach Park in Pittsburg.

The volunteers will assist with activities.
The event supports CASA’s mission to help abused and neglected children.
