Brad Johnson resigns as president of NTCC Ron Clinton will be interim president

Dr. Brad Johnson has resigned his position as President of Northeast Texas Community College, effective Sept. 30. Dr. Ron Clinton has been appointed by the board to serve as interim president.

The Board of Trustees met in a special called meeting on Aug. 10, at which time Dr. Johnson asked to be released from his contract in order to accept a position as Vice President for Strategic Relationships at West Texas A&M in Canyon. Dr. Johnson explained that the change will provide both personal and professional opportunities. He and his wife, Vicki, have parents and other family in the West Texas area. In his new role he will assist an outstanding university with its desire to expand service to community college transfer students.

After adjourning to closed session, Chairman of the Board Dr. Dan McCauley announced the board had unanimously accepted Johnson’s resignation, with regrets.
