Sparks in the Park
HUGHES SPRINGS – The Arden Hanes American Legion Post 351 will host the Sparks in the Park Auto and Cycle Show on Saturday, July 1, beginning with registration at 8 a.m. Showtime is 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

July 4th celebration
HUGHES SPRINGS -- The city of Hughes Springs will celebrate the Fourth of July on Saturday, July 1. 
The fish fry and music will be at Spring Park at 6 p.m. Tickets will be $12 per plate. 
Fireworks will be at Mustang Stadium begin at dark. Gates will open at 8 p.m.

Firework show on the lake
MOUNT VERNON – A fireworks show is set for 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1 on Lake Cypress Springs.
The event is sponsored b the South Franklin Volunteer Fire Department.

Boat parade and fireworks set
GLADEWATER – The annual Fourth of July Fireworks show is set for Saturday, July 2 on Lake Gladewater.
The annual boat parade will start at 7:30 p.m. with the fireworks show set around 9 p.m.

Fireworks show on July 2
MOUNT PLEASANT – Trinity Baptist Church will hold its annual “Happy Birthday USA” celebration on Sunday, July 2 at the church. 
The event begins at 7 p.m. and there will be free activities, water slide and bounce houses. Concessions will be available for an additional charge with live music.
The fireworks show begins around 8:30 p.m.

Fourth of July Blast
HUGHES SPRINGS – Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church will host a Fourth of July Blast with food, fun, and fellowship. 
Events will include a horsehoe tournament and water slides. The event will begin at 3:15 p.m.

Fireworks show in Winnsboro
WINNSBORO -- The annual Fourth of July Show is set from 5 p.m. until dark Tuesday, July 4, at the City Park, 900 Wheeler Dr.
There will be live music, bounce houses, face painting, free puppet show, hot dogs, nachos, pizza, popcorn and more.

Trains and fireworks in Jefferson
JEFFERSON – The annual Fourth of July Train Ride Celebration and Fireworks is July 1-4 at the Historic Jefferson Railway, 400 E. Austin St.
Activities begin at 2 p.m. July 1 and end at 6 p.m. July 4.
Day trains includes a stop at the Diamond Gator Pit for alligator feeding (weather permitting).
Steam Train weekend is Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with narrated Historical Day Tours slated for 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. 
Tuesday’s Narrated Historical Day Tours are set for 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.
The Historic Jefferson Railway will offer a special July 4th weekend, aboard a live steam train, with a celebration of flags along the Big Cypress Bayou as the history of Independence Day unfolds in the Narrated Historical Day Tours. Come see the Support Our Troops display that honors the United States Military. 
For evening trains, a fireworks show will be included and a cannon firing a dramatic “dragons breath.”
