Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor: If you’re one that’s been keeping up with what’s going on all over this country, then you’ve had your feel of national and local news topped off with the latest commentary from any and everybody on social media (if that’s your thing). In our wake, the most recent national news that occurred over the last week, two highly publicized deaths at the hands of police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Falcon Heights, Minnesota along with the deaths of 5 officers of the law after a peaceful protest rally closer to home in Dallas, Texas. “A second man’s opinion”

By Frank Parker

The Johnny Manziel story just gets crazier day by day. The year he won the Heisman trophy I was working in Guam. I would have to get up at 3 a.m. on Sunday mornings (due to the time difference) to watch the Aggies play. I got so excited watching the Aggies beat Alabama that I woke my neighbors up. Johnny now has been seen partying all over the United States. Pictures of him have been all over the Internet, newspapers and television. He also made the comics in the June 29 edition of The Dallas Morning News. I read the comics everyday and in “The Aggie Sweater” it shows a man looking at pictures in an exhibit “Welcome to the Hall of Train wrecks.” It shows several train wrecks and then it has a picture of Johnny Manziel holding a beer. Very clever and funny!!! He has to run out of money pretty soon because of his lifestyle and legal problems. Maybe becoming dead broke will be the only thing that can save him?
