Chief of Police Richard Penn spoke to Rotarians last week and gave a power point program on Open Carry. Chief Penn told the group Pittsburg has not had a problem with any open carry incidents since the law went into effect Jan. 1, 2016.

Methodist ladies take up the challenge

The staff at theAmerican Patchwork and Quiltingmagazine got the idea of challenging their readers to make pillowcases for the sick, especially children that are in the hospital. ey challenged their readers to gather a group of sewers, their quilting club, Girl Scout troop, 4-H club, or Sunday school class to sew these pillow cases to reach a goal of one million pillowcases.
