The campaign is called Teens in the Driver’s Seat and its main goal is to educate the students at PHS the risks and dangers that come with driving. ETMC first to offer MAKO® partial knee resurfacing in Tyler

ETMC Tyler is offering an exclusive new procedure that offers new hope for qualifying patients who need the benefits of partial knee replacement surgery without the longer recovery times of invasive surgery. MAKO® partial knee resurfacing is a minimally invasive treatment option for adults living with early to mid-stage osteoarthritis that has not yet progressed to all three compartments of the knee. MAKO® is less invasive than traditional total knee surgery and is performed using a robotic-arm assisted surgical system. “MAKO® allows us to treat patients with knee osteoarthritis at earlier stages and with greater precision,” said Dr. Joseph Conflitti, surgeon, with the ETMC Orthopedic Institute. “Because it is less invasive and preserves more of the patient’s natural knee, the goal is for patients to have relief from their pain, gain back their knee motion and return to their daily activities.”

A traffic stop on Highway 11 West in Newsome on Nov. 17 led to the arrest of Calum Len Foldenauer, 18, of Pittsburg. Foldenauer was charged with burglary of a habitation before the burglary was even reported. “Foldenauer was in possession of a brand new Remington 700 mm rifle, new in the box,” Camp County Sheriff Alan McCandless said. “He is a convicted felon and is not allowed to be in possession of any guns. At the time of the traffic stop, it was determined he and another subject had been involved in a burglary on Sparks Road, County Road 2421, and that is where he obtained the rifle.”
