Brenda Barnwell welcomed Pittsburg Independent School District Superintendent Judy Pollan to her home for a meeting of the Twentieth Century Study Club.  Mrs. Pollan outlined many successes and needs in the school district. A salad luncheon was prepared by 10 club members.

Pittsburg vet will host rabies clinic through Saturday

Pittsburg Veterinary Clinic will host a rabies vaccination clinic on March 25-30.
The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a break for lunch between noon and 1 p.m. On Saturday, the clinic will be open from 8 a.m. to noon only. Pittsburg Veterinary Clinic is at 203 N. Greer Blvd. The cost is $7 per dog or cat, and $2 off all other vaccinations.
The event is sponsored by the clinic and the Camp County 4-H Club.

Camp County Jail Log from March 18 to March 25

The Camp County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activities:
Earl Dean Brooks was arrested by the Police Department March 18 on two city warrants.
Melton Earl Duffey was arrested on March 18 by the Police Department on four city warrants, and five Titus County warrants.
Morris Anthony Wilson was arrested by the Department of Public Safety on an Attorney General’s warrant and for child neglect. The arrest was made on March 19.
Anissa Rena Washington was arrested by the Department of Public Safety on March 20 for forgery.
On March 21, La Diedra Tawun Young was arrested by the Police Department for assault causing bodily injury.
John Sherman Beard was arrested by the Police Department March 21 for criminal trespass.
Arthur Emmitt Marshell was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant* March 21.
