Vet clinic to offer rabies vaccination on March 25-30

Pittsburg Veterinary Clinic will host a rabies vaccination clinic on March 25-30.
The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a break for lunch between noon and 1 p.m. On Saturday, the clinic will be open from 8 a.m. to noon only. Pittsburg Veterinary Clinic is at 203 N. Greer Blvd. The cost is $7 per dog or cat, and $2 off all other vaccinations.
The event is sponsored by the clinic and the Camp County 4-H Club.

Senior pancake fund-raiser March 23

Project Graduation will hold a pancake fund-raiser at Big Earl’s Cafe from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on March 23.
Project Graduation is a program offered as a safe alternative to drinking and driving on the night of graduation.  
Senior parents and seniors are asked to donate their time that day.

Dodson Chiropractic makes donation to American Heart Association

Winnsboro Livestock Commission for March 15

Shannon Davis of the Winnsboro Livestock Commission, 903-365-2201, reported a total of 809 head of cattle moved through the auction on March 15 at the following prices:
•Baby calves, $4o-$350 a head.
•Pairs, $1,000-$1,650 a head.
•Stocker cows $900-$1,525 a head.
•Slaughter cows 60-84 cents a pound.
•Slaughter bulls 80 cents-$1.08 a pound.
•Steers, under 300 pounds, $1.60-$2.50 a pound; 300-400 pounds, $1.50-$2 a pound; 400-500 pounds, $1.40-$1.90 a pound; 500 pounds and up, $1.20-$1.60 a pound.
•Heifers, under 300 pounds, $1.40-$2.40 a pound; 300-400 pounds, $1.30-$1.75 a pound; 400-500 pounds, $1.25-$1.60 a pound; 500 pounds and up, $1.10-$1.50 a pound.

Camp County Jail Log for March 11 through March 17

The Camp County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activities:
Sherry Sprueill Taylor was arrested by the Police Department March 11 on city and capias pro fine* warrants. She is being held for Titus County.
Vincent Molina Jr. was arrested for revocation of probation on March 12. The Sheriff’s Office made the arrest.
Justin Dean Brisbin was arrested March 12 by the Police Department for assault family violence/choking.
Kristy Nicole Williams was arrested March 13 by the Sheriff’s Office for disorderly conduct.
Marcus Rashad Boyd was arrested by the Department of Public Safety on March 14 for no driver’s license and no insurance. He is being held for Morris County.
DPS also arrested Dominek Antonio Jimmerson on March 15 for no insurance, and two warrants.
Ruben Valazquez Martinez was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on March 15 for no insurance. He is being held for Franklin County.
