Mr. and Mrs. Ricky and Michelle Parker of Pittsburg are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Emily Katherine Parker to Mr. Joel Tyler Stuedle. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gale and Rogene Stuedle of Pittsburg. The bride-elect is a senior at Texas A&M University-Commerce and will soon graduate with a degree in Wildlife and Conservation Science. She is currently an intern at the Dallas Zoo. The groom graduated from Texas A&M University- Texarkana in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) and is working toward a second Bachelor’s degree in InformationTechnology (IT). He currently works for Tyler Technologies in Longview as a database administrator/support technician. The couple plans to exchange vows in May of this year.

She is employed as Assistant Manager at the Dollar Tree in Commerce. Her grandparents are Horace and Elizabeth Peek of Pittsburg and Alvis “Buddy” Westbrook of Pittsburg and the late Dean Westbrook. The groom is a 2011 graduate of Pittsburg High School and is also attending Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he is majoring in Elementary Education. He is employed as Assistant Manager at Hibbett Sports in Commerce. His grandparents are Frances Casey of Plano, Don Biggerstaff of Keller, and Nina Johnson of Lone Star, and the late Cecil Johnson.

Taylor is a 2011 graduate of Paul H. Pewitt High School, and is currently attending Northeast Texas Community College. She is the granddaughter of Randy and Paula Dyke of Mount Pleasant, Mike and Diann Beasley of Omaha/ Daingerfield, and Marilyn Gage Beasley of Mount Pleasant. She is the great granddaughter of Juanita McBride and the late Carl McBride of Pittsburg.
Mikey is a 2013 graduate  of Pittsburg High School, currently  attending Northeast Texas Community College and will transfer to Berklee School of Music in Boston to pursue a Bachelors degree in Music. His grandparents are Mike and Edna Carter of Detroit, Bill and Annette Miller of Pittsburg, and John and Margie Forrest of Daingerfield.

Carriere and Woods wed

Kelli Elizabeth Carriere and Jonathan George Woods were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 7 o’clock in the evening at Saint Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. Father James Brady officiated the ceremony, and was assisted by Father Michael Woods, father of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph Donald and Sheryl Arnaud Carriere of Opelousas, La. She is the grand-daughter of Rodney and Verna Marks Arnaud of Port Barre, La. and Ivy Lou Guidry Carriere of Opelousas, La.

The bride is a graduate of Judson High School in Converse. She then went on to attend the University of North Texas in Denton where she earned a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting. She is employed at Kendra Scott where she is the accounting manager.
The groom is a graduate of Pittsburg High School. After graduation, he went on to attend Auburn University in Alabama where he received a bachelor’s of science degree in biomedical science. He is currently employed at Bioo Scientific as a business development manager.
The wedding will be Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 in Austin.
