Broyles

Mr. Rodney Darrell Broyles, 70, of Pittsburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, Tyler. Mr. Broyles was born Feb. 2, 1948 in Little Rock, Ark.to Joseph Bishop and Rose Marie Cox Broyles. Mr. Broyles served in the United States Army during Vietnam, and was awarded The Purple Heart. He was also employed by AT&T for 37 years as a communication tech. Mr. Broyles is survived by his wife, Patricia Broyles of Pittsburg, sons; Stephen Jackson and wife Kimberly of Flower Mound, Patrick Jackson and wife Darla of McKinney; grandchildren, Payton, Connor, Savannah, Gage, Mitchell, Julia and Jaden; sisters, Marcia and husband Steve, Cathy and husband Rick, Debbie and husband Hank, Sue and husband Buzzy, Cindy and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Broyles was preceded in death by his parents.

Daniel

Corkie ‘Ora Cornellia’ Daniel passed with peace and grace on June 16, with her family at her side. Survived by her loving husband and soul mate for 65 years, Hop ‘Cecil E’; son, Gary A. Daniel and his wife Gen V Daniel of Crosby; daughter, Roxie Ann Daniel of Slaton; brothers, Richard Crawford of Branson, Mo., Randy Breedlove of Amarillo; and sister-in-law, Nan Crawford of Mt. Belvieu who was more like her close identical twin. Predeceased by her loving daughter Charmaine Sowel of San Antonio; brother, Jerrell Crawford of Mt. Belvieu. Survived by grandson, Jett Wiggins of Texas Tech Lubbock; granddaughters, Stormie Gale of Amarillo, and Katy Daniel of Houston. Corkie had six beautiful great-grandchildren. Corkie was born in Lubbock and graduated high school at New Deal where she fell in love with and married Hop in 1953. After marrying Hop, she threw her energies into raising their three children. Open to all neighboring children, her kitchen and fine cooking was never closed.

McDaniel

Royce Lynn McDaniel, 84, of Sumner passed away Monday, June 4 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Friday, June 8, at Fry- Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Price officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will received friends at the funeral home prior to service. Lynn was born at home in the Garretts Bluff community the son of Joseph Alex and Effie Leona Cooper McDaniel. He married Howardene Chamberlain in Garretts Bluff Baptist Church on Oct. 12, 1957. He graduated from PJC and East Texas State University majoring in Agriculture. He was employed by the United States Department of Agriculture for 37 years. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army. He was a member of Garretts Bluff Masonic Lodge and Direct Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Tim McDaniel, Patti McDaniel; brothers, Bobby, James and Billy McDaniel.

Richard Earl Hart, 65, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Hunt Regional Hospital in Commerce. Services were held Thursday, June 7 at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with Rev. Roy Lee Miles as eulogist. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg.

Patricia Ann Heath, 63, passed away Friday, May 25 at her home in Daingerfield. Services were held on Saturday, June 2 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Elder Charles w. Roberson officiating. Burial was at Rocky Mound Cemetery in Rocky Mound.

Mary Cozart Laden

Mary Cozart Laden, 63, of Pittsburg was born July 16, 1954 in Pittsburg to William A. and Jane Warrick Cozart and passed away on May 30 in Pittsburg . Mrs. Laden was a retired music teacher having taught in the Dallas and East Texas area schools and was a member of the First Methodist Church in Pittsburg. She is survived by her sons, Grant Beene of Dallas and Matthew Laden of Denton; and a brother, Jim Tom Cozart. Mrs. Laden was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Stephen Laden (July 12, 2001) and her parents. Funeral services were held at on Tuesday, June 5 at the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg with Reverend Hill Johnson officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, June 5 at the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg.

Mr. James Cavender

Mr. James Cavender, 87, founder of Cavender’s Boot City, was born March 22, 1931 in Idabel, Okla. to Lois Otis “L.O.” Cavender and Loyce Estelle Stewart Cavender and passed away May 29, 2018, in Tyler. Mr. Cavender was a member of First Baptist Church in Pittsburg and served in the United States Air Force. James was the founder and CEO of Cavender’s, a major Texas-based western wear retail chain that now has stores in 11 states. James was known for his incredible work ethic, disposition, and joy when helping customers. He was fortunate to attract many loyal associates over the last 53 years; many have been with the company for 30 or more years.

Floyd Seale

Floyd Seale passed away from complications of Lewy Bodies, on May 14, 2018 at the Edinburg Senior Center. Floyd and his twin Loyd were born December 30, 1937 in Pittsburg, Texas. They were the sons of Knox and Linnie Seale. Floyd attended school in Pittsburg, and university at Baylor University, Waco, Texas. The family wants to thank the Edinburg Senior Center for all the excellent care they gave Floyd. Services will be at 10 a.m. June 4, 2018 at New Mine Cemetery, Pittsburg, Texas.

Mr. John N. Kaylor

Mr. John N. Kaylor, 91, of Pittsburg was born Jan. 8, 1927 in Cotton Valley, La. to Robert Cleave Kaylor and Erah Pearl Martin Kaylor and passed away on May 27, 2018 in Pittsburg. Mr. Kaylor was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church for over 37 years also serving as a deacon, served in the Navy, a member of the Masonic Lodge, 32nd degree Mason, and Shriner. He was also a retired mill wright for Lone Star Steel after 36 years. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John Keith and Dana Kaylor of Pittsburg; daughter, Janet Bernice Nelson of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Carley, Amanda and Jarrett, Jaimie and Gerry, Kristie and Thor; great-grandchildren, Ally, Avery, Addyson, Jacob, Corbyn, Stormie, Kaydi, and Gerratt; brother, Willard Dempsy Kaylor of Cotton Valley, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
