Southern Wind resident makes a wish on Valentines

Southern Wind Manor resident, Larry Michael Wunsch spent his Valentine’s Day having one of his dreams come true.
Mr. Wunsch has always wanted to wear a tuxedo. Growing up he never received the opportunity to attend a prom or homecoming where a tuxedo would be a suitable outfit.
“If I could wear one I would feel like a celebrity, like a star,” Mr. Wunsch said.
So the employees of Southern Wind Manor used this Valentine’s holiday to make Mr. Wunsch’s dream come true by raising the funds to give Mr. Wunsch a tuxedo. Paul R. Mayben, of The Mayben Group, received word about Mr. Wunsch’s wish and offered to help make that dream become a reality.
Mr. Wunsch visited Mayben’s and was fitted and measured for his very own tuxedo. The Mayben Group was able to secure him a tuxedo with the help of the Southern Wind employees. Mr. Wunsch was given his tuxedo just in time for the Valentine’s Day party Friday, Feb. 14 at Southern Wind.
Mr. Wunsch was also crowned the Valentine’s King at the celebration.
According to Matthew Wallace, Executive Director of Southern Wind, all the staff at Southern Wind Manor says they enjoy taking care of Mr. Wunsch and have given from their hearts to answer Mr. Wunsch’s desire to wear a tuxedo in his life time.
