Annual Kid’s Fishing Day set to swim in February 22

Kid’s Fishing is set to happen Feb. 22 in Pittsburg. It’s free, it’s fun and it’s something the entire family can enjoy.
The annual event, sponsored by the city of Pittsburg and the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife, begins at 9 a.m. Feb. 22, and continues until noon. All children 16 and younger are invited to try to catch their limit at the city park pond on North Texas Street that morning.
Bait will be provided, but children should bring a rod and reel if they can.
Representatives from Texas Parks and Wildlife and game wardens will be available to help the kids fish and provide fishing poles to those that need one.
