Public Library offers ESL and GED classes for those in need
By Nancy Murillo
Come to the Public Library to learn. Through a Gateway to Libraries Grant, we offer ESL (English as a Second Language) classes every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. This month we will start our General Equivalency Diploma (GED) classes on Friday afternoons (time to be determined).
These classes and their instructors are paid for from grant funds and are offered free to the participants. Please come out and take advantage of these learning opportunities.
The Public Library holds story time every Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. The program lasts about 30-40 minutes and we have some fabulous volunteers that read to your children. Please work us into your after school schedule on Thursdays. We are having lots of fun and would love for you to join us.
