Lindsey family performs an evening of acoustics music and art on Jan. 11

The Franklin County Arts Alliance, Northeast Texas Dulcimer Chorus and The Frame Up Fine Art Gallery will host “The Lindsey’s” in an “An Evening of Acoustic Music and Art” on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 7 PM.
The event will be held at the Cultural Arts Building on the corner of Rusk and Dallas streets in Mt Vernon.
The Lindsey Family will be featured with fast moving fiddle tunes to beautiful waltzes.  If you’re a fan of acoustic music it’s an evening not to be missed.
This multi-talented family is most personable in conversation and musically very entertaining.  We invite you to come early and visit with them.
David and Annette Lindsey are the owners of David’s Dulcimers in Bennington OK and started building hammer dulcimers in the mid 1970’s. He has since become an accomplished builder in the dulcimer world, and they are in demand performers as well as workshop leaders all over the United States.
Annette plays and teaches mountain dulcimer, bass and key board, and studies art with Jaime Carter in Paris TX.  Her paintings will be featured at the Cultural Arts Center on the day of the performance.  She is accomplished in oils, water colors and photography.
Daughter Cara plays hammer dulcimer, banjo and ukulele; Angie plays the bass when her own family can spare her.  Cara is also a former Texas State hammer dulcimer champion.
