Lawsuit big news in second half of 2013

The overturning of a lawsuit against Pilgrim’s Pride was the big news in the second half of 2013.
On Aug. 27, The Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation won it’s appeal of a lawsuit against it which accused the corporation of unfair and deceptive practices. The corporation was awarded $25 million in overturned damaged which had been awarded to several contract poultry growers that had accused Pilgrim’s Pride of violating antitrust laws to manipulate poultry prices.
