House on Victory Street is a total loss due to fire; no injuries

The Pittsburg Fire Department responded to a fire this weekend. Fire Chief Carl Cravey released information on the fire.
“We received a call at 11:56 p.m. on Dec. 22,” Chief Cravey said. “Upon arrival the house was already 75 percent involved within the fire.”
According to Cravey the department responded to the fire on 424 Victory Street.
Chief Cravey said they are not certain what started the fire, just that it had consumed so much of the house all they fire department could do was try and maintain it.
Chief Cravey said the residents got out of the house in time and had no injuries, but weren’t able to save much.
“Basically all they could save from the house was what they had on their backs,” Chief Cravey said.
Chief Cravey said a lot of gratitude and appreciation should go out to the Red Cross and their efforts to help the family.
“Red Cross should be commended for what they do,” Chief Cravey said. “They worked diligently to make sure the family had a place to stay that night and are known in the process of getting them situated and into something new.”
