Jones elected Christmas Parade Marshal

This year’s Grand Marshal for the Christmas Parade is Mike Johns, Scoutmaster for Troop 210.  
“I am deeply humbled and honored” said Mr. Johns.  “I have always wanted to work with kids; teaching new things to use during life.”
Mr. Johns grew up in Denison.  His dad was his Scoutmaster and mentored him and his brother as they earned the Eagle rank. He went to Stephen F. Austin to major in forestry.  In the late 90s, he moved to Pittsburg with his wife Vicki, and children Christopher, Adrienne, and Harland.  As Christopher turned 6, Mike jumped right back into scouts, working with Cub Scouts then as Christopher moved up to Boy Scouts, Mike followed and became scoutmaster.
