One sister remains in serious condition; family, friends ask for help in her recovery

One of the things Pittsburg does very well is take care of its children, in good times and bad. They say, “It takes a village.”

A wreck last Wednesday night, Aug. 2 sent two former honor students/sisters to East Texas Medical Center Tyler after hydroplaning on U. S. Highway 271. Sisters, Cindy and Jennifer Rodriquez, sustained injuries after flipping their vehicle three times over an embankment during a rain storm. Both had on seat belts.

Mandy Hobbs, Elizabeth Reynolds-Lawton, and LeAnn Brown three Pittsburg Independent School Teachers, have partnered to help the Rodriquez family with financial expenses.
