Church members plan ‘Spiritual Renewal Sunday’

As spring approaches, Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church, located just outside of Pittsburg, will host a special worship on Sunday, March 12.
The entire Sunday worship will feature Senior Pastor Rev. Richard Carl and the guest pastor for the Spiritual Renewal Sunday, Rev. Dr. Carolyn McCall-Livingston from Orange where she is senior pastor at Salem United Methodist Church.
Rev. Carolyn McCall-Livingston announced her call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1994; she was certified and licensed by the Texas Annual Conference as a local pastor in 1995. ln May 2001, she was ordained as an elder in full connection of the Texas Annual Conference.
Her pastoral appointments began in 1995 in Conroe. She has served at Spring Woods United Methodist Church, Cypress United Methodist Church and Mallalieu United Methodist Church.
She was appointed to Atascocita United Methodist Church in 2001 where she remained until she was appointed to Salem United Methodist Church in 2008.
She is active in the community with After School Children programs, Top Ladies of Distinctions and Orange Pastors and Ministerial Alliance. She serves on the board for the Greater Orange Area Literacy Services and is a member of the local NAACP.
She has served as the Spiritual Director of the Emmaus Community in Houston and in Orange. She serves on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and is the Southeast District chair for the Board of Ordained Ministry.
Rev. McCall-Livingston received her master’s degree from Southern Methodist University, Perkins School of Theology in Dallas in 1999. In June 2005, she received her Doctor in Divinity/Theology from Cornerstone University through Immanuel Temple School of the Bible.
She is very active in various women ministries. She has served on both local and district committees of the United Methodist Women.
Her mission outreach has allowed her to travel to Belize, Jamaica and Zimbabwe, Africa, Philippines and the Holy Land for various mission and educational experiences.
