Winning the battle over cancer

Cancer is the one word no one wants to hear. I have certainly had my fair share of the dreaded “C” word. I lost my mother, father, and sister to one of the many horrific types of cancer. My aunt Heelan Wafford was only 37 when the disease took over her life, and I will never forget the oncologist telling my uncle that “if she can only live five more years, we can cure her.”
