Residents are reminded to be aware of Outdoor Burning Ordinance

Cooler weather brings falling leaves and falling leaves means burn piles because, let’s face it, no one wants leaves to just pile up in their yards, on decks, roofs, et cetera. Burning is certainly one way to get rid of those pesky leaves, but residents of Pittsburg be warned: the city does have an Outdoor Burning Ordinance that will have to be followed. The city council also recently amended the ordinance for multiday burning. “ The Council approved a recent amendment to the city’s outdoor burning ordinance. is amendment will allow multiday burning for special circumstances such as land clearing for commercial or residential development and for land that is considered agricultural.
