One last thought

It’s that time again and I’m down to counting minutes until I clock out! e vacation in which my family has renamed our “Glorious Destination” has nally made its way around for another year of fun in the sun. When I say family, I’m referring to my spouse, children, siblings and their families. Oh yes, there is a lot of us. e amount of planning for this starts as early as Christmas and ends the second our feet hit the sand. For seven days, we get to forget all of our troubles and it’s heaven on earth. Every summer, I always look forward to family vacations. Growing up, Daddy made sure we went somewhere for vacation and 99.9% of the time, it was Lake Bob Sandlin. We would borrow my grandfather’s camper and boat and spend every second in the water and on the “beach”. It wasn’t really a beach but that’s what my daddy called it. I didn’t like to sh so my job was to keep the sharks away at the swimming hole. Because my sisters were always trying to get a tan, I had as much time as I wanted in the water.
