City officials want every house identified from the road or street

There is an emergency at your house and the emergency vehicle, sirens screaming, drives right by your house. It can happen, if you do not have your house number prominently displayed. Do you have your house number displayed in a manner that can be seen from the street? Is there a tree limb or a bush in front of it now? The City of Pittsburg is requesting all citizens to check if your Emergency-911 or E-911 address is prominently displayed. If it isn’t, there are extremely good reasons to do so. Why is it so important for you to have the E-911 address posted? Locating you house quickly in your time of emergency without delay is the goal. When a 911 telecommunicator dispatches any emergency services unit whether it is Fire and Rescue, EMS (Emergency Medical Services), Law Enforcement or any other rst responders to your residence in your time of need, having your address posted clearly and visibly allows them to nd you much quicker.
