Pittsburg High School Symphonic Band receives superior rating

Pittsburg High School Director of Bands Mr. Austin Jesmore reported that on April 7, two High School Bands attended the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region 4 Concert and Sight Reading contests in Mt. Pleasant. The Symphonic Band, under the direction of Director Jesmore, received a superior rating from all three judges for their concert selections and superior ratings from all three judges in sight reading, the highest scores possible. The Band’s performance earns the Pride of Pittsburg, the UIL’s Sweepstakes Award, the highest honor given to any band from UIL. is requires bands receive superior ratings in marching, concert, and sight reading.
