The Abernathy house gets Texas historical recognition

After three long years of research and documentation, Pittsburg’s most notable Queen Anne Victorian Style home, on the southwest corner of Quitman and Texas, will be recognized on Friday, April 8 for historical state recognition. Kevin and Neoma Twining are the owners of the two-story home a er purchasing in 1999. The commemorative day will involve many local leaders, dignitaries and state and local media outlets as well as 100 seated guests on the lawn of the home. VIP speakers will include Mayor Shawn Kennington, David Abernathy speaking for the family about the history of the home, and David Grundish.
