Camp Habitat introduces their newest partner family at their ribbon cutting

The Camp County a liate of Habitat for Humanity and their volunteers and supporters along with Mayor Kennington and the Pittsburg/Camp County Chamber of Commerce joined together last Tuesday, March 15, for a celebration of the groups’ revitalization and relocation to 200 West Marshall Street next to the Heritage Museum. Habitat’s newest partner family, Pittsburg’s Nicole Guel and her three sons, Jordan, KeMarian and Nicholas, were on hand to cut the ribbon to the new o ce space. Nicole and her family are very excited about helping to build their new home. Scotty Traylor, vice president of the board, looks forward to starting the new home in May on land in town donated to Habitat by Larry Shrum and the Shrum Family Trust. Board member Jerry Goforth put up a “Future Habitat Home” sign on the site which is located just off Highway 271. Angela Hammonds Saucier, also a board member, has been an invaluable resource to the a liate by providing guidance on legal matters such as deeds, title requirements, and office leases.
