Dog bites officer; injures ankle, leg

A Pittsburg police officer was injured and carried to Titus Regional Hospital after answering a call last Thursday where a dog was attacking another dog and then bit officer Adan Hernandez. According to Police Chief Richard Penn, “Pittsburg Police Officers responded to the 400 block of Victory Street in reference to a dog attacking another dog. Upon arrival, officers attempted to locate the dog. The dog was aggressive in its actions toward the officer and bit the officer. As the officer was attempting to thwart the dogs’ actions, he fell backward su ering an injury to his lower leg.”
