‘Wolf moon’ rises next weekend

The moon reaches full status the night of Jan. 23-24, to astronomers, full moon represents a well-de ned instant: when the moon resides 180 degrees opposite the sun in ecliptic longitude. Watch for the full-looking moon to light up the nighttime nearly all night long from Jan. 23-26, as it shines in the east at early evening, climbs highest up for the night around midnight and sits low in the west at the break of dawn.
