Local fishing report

Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPaW) reports the following about the area lakes: Lake Bob Sandlin: Water stained; 54–58 degrees; 0.54’ high. Black bass are fair on black and blue flipping jigs and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are fair on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad. Lake Caddo: Water stained; 56–60 degrees; 2.30’ high. Black bass are fair on weightless senkos and Texas rigged creature baits. White and yellow bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines. Warning: TPaW has issued a mercury consumption advisory for Caddo Lake, for largemouth bass and freshwater drum, adults should limit consumption to no more than two, 8-ounce meals per month, and children should limit consumption to no more than two, 4-ounce meals per month. Lake Fork: Water stained; 54–59 degrees; 0.46’ high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws and flipping jigs around timber in 4–10 feet. Swimbaits along main lake points are still effective. White and yellow bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are excellent on minnows. Catfish are slow on trotlines.
