Carolyn Henderson Jackson

Graveside services for Carolyn Henderson Jackson were June 24, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, with Reverend Dr. John Whitehurst officiating.  
Carolyn Jackson, 73, of Longview, formerly Pittsburg, passed away June 19 surrounded by immediate family.  She was born Aug. 17, 1939, in Camp County to Bill and Margaret Henderson.
Carolyn enjoyed continuing and growing her family’s business, Henderson Manufacturing, founded by her parents.  This foundry continues as a family owned business today in Pittsburg, not only serving businesses in East Texas, but all of North America.  Besides her passion for Henderson Manufacturing, Carolyn‘s other special joys were farming and breeding cattle, founding of C&J Dairy, her children and grandchildren and her  co-ownership of C-L Ozment & Associate Loop Sales, LLC.
She is survived by son, Vince Jackson and wife Melissa, of Lake Cherokee; daughter, Karen Jackson Wright and husband David; grandsons, Matthew Wright and wife Sharon and Mitchell Wright of Longview; granddaughter, Allison Wright Stagner and husband Trevor; great granddaughters, Sadie Brook and Leighton Caroline Stagner of Mount Pleasant.  She is also survived by brothers Perry and Paul Henderson and spouses of Pittsburg, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Other special survivors include her valued employees of Henderson Manufacturing, past and present and especially, Larry Bailey and wife, Dot of Pittsburg.  Over 45 years ago, Larry, who started as an employee of Henderson Manufacturing, grew to become a special friend and valued business partner,   always willing to go an extra mile for Carolyn with the businesses, farming and her battles with her health.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sandy Rainey; and her daughter, Carol Jackson Cox.
The family wishes to thank HeartsWay Hospice of East Texas, Summer Meadows, Dr. Laura Welch, Dr. Rama Koya and Texas Oncology of Longview.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Alzheimer’ Research, American Cancer Society, HeartsWay Hospice of East Texas or charity of choice.
