LaDonna Sisk Fink

 

LaDonna Sisk Fink was born Jan. 10, 1938 in Pittsburg, Texas and passed away Friday, Sept. 25 at Pittsburg Nursing Center in Pittsburg, Texas.

Mrs. Fink had a long and memorable career with Pittsburg ISD, of which she was a retiree. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard and gardening, growing a large pea patch every year. She was an avid domino player and especially loved playing with her grandchildren and later, great-grandchildren.

LaDonna thrived on spending time with her family and always enjoyed a good cup of coffee with friends. She touched the lives of so many with her wit and kind heart. She took care of everyone in her family, always putting her own needs last. Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted mother and wonderful grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Thomas Fink; parents, George and Ollie Goolsby Sisk and brothers, Williams Sisk, Harold Dean Sisk and Duran Sisk.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Fink and wife, Cindy, of Pittsburg and Jimmy Fink and wife, Kathy, of Pittsburg; one daughter, Barbara Fink Garrett and husband, Mark, of Longview; grandchildren, Nathan Smith and wife, Kristen, Mallory Cox and husband, Jeremy, Zachary Smith, J. David Fink and wife, Kelly, Leslie Ray Fink Burson and husband, Nathan and Rachel Fink; great-grandchildren, Bailey Nicole Fink, Malachi Fink, Olivia Cox, Tyler Burson and Tinley Kay Burson and a host of extended family and many dear friends.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2015 at Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Bro. Steve Packer officiating. Interment was in Willow Oak Cemetery in Upshur County. Pallbearers were Nathan Burson, Zachary Smith, David Fink, Jeremy Cox, Steve Wright and John Kaylor. Honorary pallbearers were Nathan Smith, Kenneth Drew, John Kaylor and Glen Reynolds.
