Writers to meet on Thursday at Mount Pleasant library

The Northeast Texas Writers’ Organization will hold its monthly meeting at the Mount Pleasant Public Library on April 11 at 5 p.m.
The group will finalize plans for the upcoming spring writers’ conference.
This year’s “Writers’ Roundup” will be held April 26 through 27 at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center. The faculty will include New York agents Doug Grad and Jill Marr and best-selling authors Molly McAdams, Colleen Hoover and Earl Staggs. The conference will also include publishers and consultants.
Award-winning San Antonio writer and police sergeant Joe McKinney will also present “A Primer on Police Procedure” for aspiring crime writers. Writers will have opportunities to attend seminars, workshops and one-on-one meetings with several of the presenters.
