Ideas to promote Camp County tourism will be shared on April 16

A luncheon meeting to discuss tourism ideas and activities for Pittsburg and Camp County is set for April 16. The meeting will be held at the Hanson-Sewell Center on College Street from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
“The meeting is being held to gain ideas, perspectives and suggestions on how best to promote Pittsburg and Camp County,” said Judy Jackson, chair of the chamber of commerce’s tourism committee.  “This will increase revenue for merchants and taxes for the city and county, while marketing our best to influence folks to make our home their home and/or to come back and visit often.”
Special guests will be George Fite , city manager of Hughes Springs and member of the Texas Forest Trails board; and Mary Turner, executive director of the Texas Forest Trails Region
Those who want to attend should notify the chamber by April 11, by calling 903-434-8394.
