There are four open seats on the Pittsburg Independent School District board of trustees, and eight people have filed for the chance to fill them.
Places 3, 4, 6 and 7 will be on the May 11 ballot.
Dr. Dan Kincaid is unopposed in Place 4, a two-year term.
Place 6 features incumbent Jerral Walker and Andy Stormer.
Four are seeking Place 7: Danny Carey, Brent Doddy, Carmen Mitchell and Vernon Rowe.
Greg Miller has filed for Place 3 which will be vacated by Sarah Johns. Filing for this position continues through 5 p.m. March 11.
A $9.09 million bond for the school district will be put before the voters on May 11 as well.
The city incumbents, Mayor Shawn Kennington and council member Fred Cook, drew no opposition. However, city residents will vote on an amendment to the Home Rule Charter.
Early voting for the school and city elections will be held April 29 through May 7.
May 11 is Election Day. Both elections will be held at the cafetorium on Fulton Street.
