Services for Duane Lavon Millsap, 85, of Leesburg, were on Monday, Nov. 10, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point, the Rev. Billy Smith officiated the ceremony. Mr. Millsap was born July 29, 1929 in Henrietta, Okla. and he died Friday, Oct. 31 at his home. He is the son of William Otto Millsap and Rosa Mae Keathly Millsap. He was raised in Dallas and married Patsy Dale Malone. Mr. Millsap was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Overhead Door Company in Dallas for 30 years and was a truck driver for Pilgrim’s Pride for 33 years in Pittsburg, he retired in 1999. He enjoyed watching television and raising game roosters. Mr. Millsap was a member of the VFW (the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States). He had lived in Leesburg for the past 12 years and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy Dale Millsap and son, Patrick Millsap.Survivors include, two sons and two daughterin- laws, Michael David Millsap and Barbara Nichols, of Leesburg, Michael Duane Millsap and his wife Patience Moss, of Leesburg; one daughter, Melisa Gail Millsap of Leesburg, one brother, Don Millsap of Dallas, one sister, Virginia Walton of Winnsboro, and two great-grandchildren, Andy Lee Nichols and Dylon Nichols.
