Kicking sand in our faces

One Man’s Opinion

When I was young like most other boys I liked to read comic books. They all have the same things in common, the ads at the back of the books. My favorite ad was for the x-ray glasses, God knows I would have put them to good use, but the ad that is most important is the one that depicts a bully kicking sand in the face of a skinny young man while they all were at the beach. Adding insult to injury the bully walks away with all the cute girls. This is where we are in America today. President Obama is that skinny kid lying on the beach and Putin is covering him with sand. And the cute girls that are all over Putin. Well that’s just a metaphor on how we are losing respect in the eyes of all the other countries in the world. In the comic book all you have to do is send off for a weight lifting set, use it for a short while and you will be able whip the bully’s butt. In real life it’s not that simple. This administra- Kicking sand in our faces tion would rather just lay down and be covered by sand (embarrassment) than doing what it takes to lift the weights and turn away the bullies in this world. To turn our situation around we are going to have to replace these wimps in office with strong men and women who have just a single agenda, to make our country the leader of the world again. It sounds so simple, but it’s true. I’m so tired of our country acting like a small crying child sitting a dark room and being afraid when all we have to do is stand up and turn on a light.
