Anderson and Cruce wed

Angela Jeanice Anderson and Jesse Dee Cruce, both of Houston, were united in marriage by the Rev. Malcolm Marshall June 14 at Ashton Gardens in Houston. The bride is the daughter of Randy and Diann Anderson of Salado and granddaughter of former Pittsburg residents, the late Edward and Dorothy Russell.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. She is presently employed as a kindergarten teacher in the Alvin Independent School District.
The groom is the son of Linda Cruce of Savannah, Ga. and Jeffery and April Cruce of Trussville, Ala. He is a 2010 graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture. He is presently employed as a landscape architect with Kudela and Weinheimer Landscape Architecture in Houston.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory Maggie Sottero strapless gown with dipped neckline and corset closure. The embellished corded lace with Mikado flowers fell over satin and artfully provided dimension at the banded natural waist and throughout the slim A-line skirt and chapel train. She also wore a bracelet that belonged to her great grandmother.
David Lee provided a scripture reading; and soloist was Katie Cruce, sister of the groom, of Trussville, Ala.
The bride’s attendants were Amanda Reid, matron of honor, sister of the bride from Traverse City, Mich. and Clarissa Dufresne, maid of honor, of Nashville. Bridesmaids were: Katie Cruce, sister of the groom; Holly Davila and Lori Pena, both of Houston.
Douglas Wilson of Houston served as best man. Groomsmen were: Jason Huff, cousin of the groom from Brooklyn, N.Y.; William Sparkman, Jordan Fox, and Colin McGonagill all of Houston. Ring bearers were Anderson Reid and Reilly Reid, nephews of the bride, from Traverse City, Mich. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Jeffrey Cruce at Via Emilia Italian Restaurant, The Woodlands.
After a honeymoon to Cozumel, the couple will make their home in Houston.
